Dog friendly camping by the water

Looking for a dog-friendly holiday home in Limburg? At Holiday Park De Schatberg, you can bring up to two dogs per accommodation. Your furry friend doesn’t have to stay behind, they’re more than welcome to join you! There are plenty of beautiful spots nearby perfect for walks, so your dog won’t be stuck indoors all holiday. Please let us know in advance if you’re bringing a dog. Don’t forget to mention it when you book your stay.

Facilities for dogs

Special facilities have been provided for your loyal four-legged friends at our campsite. There are plenty of dog toilets available throughout the campsite.These are marked on our map. Cooling down is no problem either. In one section of the pond, dogs are welcome to swim and enjoy a refreshing dip on a hot summer day.

Camping near the water

There’s no shortage of water fun at De Schatberg! We have a real swimming lake with a sandy beach, perfect for soaking up the sun and cooling off with a refreshing dip during the summer. Fishing fans are in for a treat too. With over 20 hectares of water, there’s plenty of space to cast a line. Simply purchase a Schatberg fishing permit at reception and you’re good to go! You can fish for perch, bream, blue bream, gudgeon, carp, catfish, eel, rudd, roach, and tench.

Looking for more action on the water? Head to the Seven-Twenty Cable Park at De Schatberg, where you can kneeboard, waterski, and wakeboard. The course is an impressive 783 metres long!

De Groote Peel

Near our campsite you'll find De Groote Peel National Park, a beautiful nature reserve located partly in Limburg and partly in North Brabant. The area is known for its peat cutting history, which is still clearly visible in the landscape today. During the breeding season, over ninety bird species can be spotted here. In addition to birds, the park is also home to many types of butterflies, dragonflies and grasshoppers.

De Groote Peel offers a variety of walking trails, perfect for long, peaceful hikes. You'll enjoy the stunning natural surroundings, rich plant and animal life and the fascinating history of the region.
